Our Precious Son

The day that you came into this world,

Was so full of love and joy.

I held you in my arms for hours,

My beautiful baby boy.

My sorrow is beyond compare,

It aches deep in my chest,

Sleep softly now, my special son,

In eternal rest.

I will love you forever and a day,

In my memories you'll live on,

And so long as I live and breathe,

You will never truly be gone.

I wish that I could hold your hand,

And make everything alright.

To tell you that it's not the end,

Not goodbye, only good night.
