Faithfulness, Good Wishes, Respect

About the Narcissus

Originating in the Mediterranean, the Narcissus was brought to Asia, where it became widely spread across China. From there, the Narcissus made its way into Europe via European Colonists and eventually made its way into North America.Today, the Narcissus is mainly grown in Great Britain, Holland and The Channel Islands.

Growing Narcissus

Narcissus grow perennially from bulbs. Choose a well-drained, sunny place with a slightly acidic soil. Plant your Narcissus so that their top (pointed end) is at least two times as deep as the bulb is high (top of a 2 inch bulb is 4 inches deep). Narcissus need lots of water whilst they are growing. Like most perennials, Narcissus will do well with about 1 inch of water per week while they are ctively growing and blooming. After blooming, never cut the foliage, until it begins to turn yellow 9usually late May or June).
